Vinod Bidarkoppa is the chief technology officer for Walmart International and a member of the Walmart Global Technology Executive Leadership team. A seasoned leader with more than 30 years of global technology and digital transformation experience, Vinod leads an International tech team dedicated to unlocking innovation and driving impact across markets through leverage of global platforms.

Prior to his role with International, Vinod led the global commerce platforms and emerging tech team, responsible for developing platform capabilities across the Americas. He also served previously as CTO at Sam’s Club, where he was responsible for the strategic direction and management of all Sam’s Club technology.

Before joining Sam’s Club, Vinod was the chief information officer and senior vice president of technology of multiple divisions of UnitedHealth Group. Prior to that, he served as the group technology executive at Tesco, a leading U.K.-based global retailer, where he led worldwide engineering and operations. His prior executive roles include leading the technology products and services businesses at HP and American Airlines.

Vinod has a Master of Business Administration from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Texas Tech University. He studied Mechanical Engineering during his undergraduate years at the National Institute of Technology in India.
